Viper FTP Review
Application software download free Mac
Viper FTP strikes the right balance between ease of use and high-end features. It enables users to transfer files via FTP, FTPS and SFTP as well as WebDav, Amazon S3, Google Drive, Dropbox and YouTube-upload (for uploading videos). The tool also supports batch upload so that a single file or folder can be uploaded to multiple servers at the same time.
Users can bookmark their personal, work and social upload servers through FTP, connect local and remote folders, edit files on a remote server, make precise file and folder selections as well as synchronize and compare them. They can even view hidden and system files in the dual pane window. Other useful features include converting remote file/folder into an HTTP/HTTPS address with instant email option, dragging-and-dropping from the desktop, scanning for any working FTP servers in the LAN using Bonjour and a built in Zip file extractor.
Viper FTP monitors everything users do and keeps a record of each transfer in the History Log. The tool is easy to customize with the ability to change its appearance, display files and folders in groups as well as show or hide hidden folders and files. The Show menu allows users to access their bookmarks and Bonjour servers as well as check the history log and transfer queue.
The tool has other handy tools that help to boost productivity such as a context menu which enables them to open the selected file with any other application, duplicate, rename, delete and make aliases for files; calculate directory size; edit text-based files with the built in TextEdit; pack or unpack files; and a lot more. The software can even scan their LAN for any working FTP servers using Bonjour and then automatically connect to them.
